Police rescue seven abducted persons in Enugu

The police in Enugu State, Nigeria’s South-east, have rescued seven abducted persons unharmed in a forest at Okpatu neighborhood in Udi Native Authorities Space of the state.

The police spokesperson in the state, Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed this in a press release on Wednesday in Enugu.

Based on him, police operatives in the state rescued the victims in the early hours of Tuesday.

Mr Ndukwe, a deputy superintendent of police, stated the Forest Guard and Neighborhood Watch personnel assisted the police in the rescue operation.

Amongst these rescued had been a pair who reportedly went to hope on a mountain – Mount Calvary – contained in the forest at Awhum neighborhood in Udi Native Authorities Space earlier than they had been abducted by armed males, based on the police assertion.
